Main battle tank

Land

A heavily armoured tracked vehicle with a large main gun mounted in a turret. Tanks combine firepower, protection and mobility, and lead attacks on open ground.
Modern tanks weigh 45–70 tonnes, carry a crew of 3–4 and can hit targets kilometres away while moving. They are still the backbone of most armies' land forces.
